Biography

The creative work of George Mitev is dominated by abstract art and expressionism and is built along several main conceptual lines. The works are inspired by the crossing point between energy and matter, each of them is a journey into the invisible space.
Inspired by philosophy, books and events which have left a strong impression with the author, they counteract with the viewer, a communication taking place in time and space.
The long time spent in a true artistic environment is also important to George Mitev, with his creative path having its beginning at an early age when he got accepted at the Bulgarian National School of Applied Arts, to later continue at the Bulgarian National Art Academy, where he studied in the class of Professor Anton Donchev.
Taking part in many exhibitions has allowed him to create a different point of view regarding the qualities of his artworks, and the true concepts of their meaning.
The artworks give meaning to the union between spirit and matter.

The matter allows the spirit to express itself and the spirit creates value to the matter.
